Taiwan’s sensible approach to the covid 19 crisis

Taiwan is an independent country eighty-one miles across the Taiwan Strait from mainland China. 23.8 million people live there with a 80% urban population. Taiwan covers 13,672 sq. miles. Taiwan is 96% ethnic Han Chinese.

The current Taiwan government started as a dictatorship in 1949 and has evolved into a democratically elected form of government. In 2016, Tsai Ing-wen of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was elected President of Taiwan.
