It’s kind of a numbers game isn’t it ? The black population is about 13% and the white population about 65 %. I recently visited a Sephora store. There were huge pictures of black models all over the place. Black woman in fact were over represented. It that fair ? Do we need to go around in the store with a tape measure to made sure all races are represented equally according to the population ? That seems ridiculous.
I do remember Ebony and Jet magazines growing up published by the very successful Johnson family from Chicago. Young black woman could see themselves as beautiful and get products that suited their needs. Today there are prominent examples of beauty for every race. There is no one standard of beauty. Of course, beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder.
