FDR signed Executive Order 9066 ordering the Secretary of War to relocate Japanese, German and Italian Americas to relocation camps in remote locations in the interior of the US from 1942 to 1946. Innocent Japanese families living on the West Coast were forced onto trains and buses to camps in the hot Arizona desert. These were longtime Americans who did nothing wrong other than have a Japanese surname. You hear a lot in the news about Fascism. Fascism is government sponsored terrorism against it’s citizens. EO 9066 was a real example of Fascism.

The country had just been attacked at Pearl Harbor. People were afraid of the unknown menace of recent immigrants. Certain emergency wartime actions were taken and American citizens supported those actions. Nevertheless, because of EO 9066, FDR isn't one of my favorite Presidents.
