Being a male 71 years old, I have seen a lot of change. In the 50s and 60s it was kind of ok to be a little physical and not get in trouble with the police. Now you are guilty whether anything happened or not. Some unscrupuluos woman lie to the police about violence. The man gets arrested. He then has to pay thousands of dollars to defend himself in Family(domestic) court for something that never happened.
Men get hit by woman all the time in anger. We have to take it otherwise we are wimps. Lots of luck calling the police. You will end up in the back of the police car not her.
Uncaring, aloof men are considered challenges especially when women are younger. Eventually nice guys are attractive but that happens later in life.
Pardon my generalizations. There is no such thing as a typical man or women. Both sexes do change as they age. At my age I have concluded I know nothing about what women want. Not sure they do either.
